“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

「 可是聖靈降臨在你們身上,你們就必領受能力,並且要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地、撒瑪利亞,直到地極,作我的見證人。 」 (使徒行傳 1:8)

Sundays at Grace Church Sanxia

Our Dear Family in Christ,

We are thankful for another New Year and are praying that this year we might all find ourselves more richly grounded in the Gospel and in our love for Christ. God has been abundantly faithful and steadfast in His love and care for us this past year and we are looking forward with eager expectation to see all the ways in which He will continue to provide and care for us this upcoming year. We are most thankful that we are found in Christ, that we belong to our faithful Savior, and that in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

We truly value each and every one of you and are so grateful for how God has encouraged us through your generous and faithful support and prayers for us since we first arrived in Taiwan in the Fall of 2013.  We look forward to hearing more about your own joys, struggles, and all the ways God has been working in your lives during this time as well.

Grace Church Sanxia

We thank God that Grace Reformed Church continues to grow numerically and spiritually, and that because of this fact we are considering moving our Sunday Services to a much larger meeting location in the Spring.

The possible location is a local Activity Center that can be rented out Sunday mornings and can accommodate well over 100 people. It is also just a 2 minute walk away from our current rental facility which can continue to be used as an office and location for prayer meetings, Bible studies, and outreach events. Please pray for us to have wisdom and insight into the logistics and the best timing for moving to a new location. Please also pray for Grace Church to continue to grow in our effectiveness and boldness at ministering the precious Word of God to our community.

Thank you for praying for our Christmas Outreach which took place on December 23rd and for my Christmas Eve Sermon. We pray that those who attended and heard the Gospel preached on the 23rd and 24th would receive it with joy and thanksgiving, and that we would all, like Simeon, bless the Lord for the marvelous gift of sending us His Son.

Quick Prayer Points

1. Pray for Grace Church to continue to grow in her love for Christ and for her zeal for the lost in Sanxia. We pray that 2018 will be a year of growth and maturity for the Church.

2. Pleas also pray for the launch of the Women’s Ministry at Grace on January 20th — we are looking forward to having Dr. Diane Poythress (a scholar of the Reformer Johannes Oecolampadius) visiting with us and sharing about what it means to be called children of God.

3. Please pray for God to raise up more co-workers and future candidates for officers (Elders & Deacons) at Grace

Happy New Year!!
